Essex as a vision of Africa, 2005. Don't know if I had the word "psychogeography" at the time, but the instincts were well honed. I created the fields as African ones, and actually walked in Africa. This wasn't just about the economic justice of farm subsidies in the West meaning African fields are appropriated--stolen I guess is the word.
